Extruder Capabilites


Fluted Aluminum Tubing
Tri-City Extrusion, Inc. is an extruder of 6000 series aluminum with three computer-controlled lines. The 1400-ton system produces extrusions up to 6-inch circle size. The 2500-ton system extrudes profiles up to 8-inch circle size. The 3500-ton system extrudes profiles up to 12-inch circle size.

Although extrusions are normally produced to the current Aluminum Association Standards and ASTM Standards, TCE maintains the flexibility to modify procedures and processes to meet specific customer requirements.

Billets

Tri-City Extrusion offers billet to third party customers as a part of a strategy to balance our long term metal position and provide some measure of casting load leveling during the various industry cycles.

The points below summarizes the specific capabilities for each press:

• 1,400 ton press uses 6 inch billets of 6063, 6061, and 6005A series alloys, producing up to 6" circle size profiles.

• 2,500 ton press uses 8 inch billets of 6063, 6061, 6005A, and 6463 series alloys, producing up to 8" circle size profiles.

• 3,500 ton press uses 12 inch billets of 6063, 6061, 6005A, and 6463 series alloys, producing up to 12" circle size profiles.
